Focus will be sharply directed at talent development as STEP Motorsport enters the Danish Formula 4 Championship for the season start. The North Jutland karting talent Victor Nielsen becomes the team’s second racer, bringing with him a successful go-karting career.
In recent years, Victor Nielsen has participated in the German and Italian go-kart championships, and as recently as December, the 14-year-old driver took part in the Rotax World Finals in Bahrain, competing in the electric go-kart class.
-We have been in discussions with Victor and his team for quite some time, and I have no doubt that Victor is a great driver to have in our car. He is fast and professional, and at the same time, he is open to finding his own paths to success—for example, he was quick to secure a spot in eKarts, which ultimately earned him a World Championship ticket. These are qualities that will benefit Victor in his career, says team manager Morten Dons, adding:
-Victor’s goal is to create a foundation for international success, and I am proud that he sees the opportunity to achieve that with us. The starting point is certainly good, and I look forward to starting the test work with him.
Victor Nielsen will be the second driver in STEP Motorsport’s Formula 4 initiative, competing alongside Julius Dinesen. The North Jutland driver is excited to swap the go-kart for a full-fledged formula racer:
-I look forward to working with Morten and the opportunity to drive Formula 4. I will learn a lot of new things, and it will help me develop into an even better racer, says Victor Nielsen, who attends Hedegård School in Brønderslev.
