The West Jutland racer impressed during her debut in the 2023 season and will continue her development in collaboration with STEP Motorsport in the upcoming season of Nordic 4.
At Ring Djursland, Lærke Rønn Sørensen made her debut in the class and returned home with several top placements in an absolutely competitive field. The teenager herself was quite unfazed, but those around her were impressed.
Therefore, team manager Morten Dons is also pleased to welcome Lærke to STEP Motorsport for a season where they will build on her impressive performances:
-There are moments when you pinch yourself, and the call from Lærke was one of them. We all saw her great debut weekend and how she worked her way to respectable results for the rest of the season. She has a healthy attitude towards her career, and I believe that together we can continue her development throughout the season, says Morten Dons.
Lærke Rønn Sørensen made her karting debut in the 2016 season and has since achieved countless top-three finishes in the Danish Rotax series. In 2024, the plan is to secure more top placements, this time in Nordic 4:
-I am very much looking forward to racing and working with STEP Motorsport in 2024. So far, I have only participated in a few races and shown a little of what I can do, so I am excited to have a whole season in Nordic 4. STEP is undoubtedly one of the strongest teams in Denmark, and I look forward to learning a lot from them, says Lærke.
With the addition of Lærke Rønn Sørensen to STEP Motorsport’s 2024 lineup, the team will be fielding four cars in all seven races of the season. The winter will therefore be used to upgrade and adjust the entire team’s setup and logistics, so the high standard can be maintained—and ideally improved:
-Having four drivers puts certain demands on our facilities, but it also creates many positive opportunities to make things even better than they were before. With our four drivers, we are starting strong, and I look forward to making 2024 a strong STEP year, concludes Morten Dons.
In addition to Lærke Rønn Sørensen, Mathias Bjerre Jakobsen, Sebastian Bach, and British Emily Cotty will also be ready in STEP colors when the season kicks off at Padborg Park on April 28, 2024.
