Leo Robinson builds on his impressive results as the penultimate round of the championship takes place at Padborg Park
When the Algerian driver debuted in the Formula 4 championship at Ring Djursland, he returned home with four podium finishes. This weekend, he aims to replicate that performance on the Sønderjylland asphalt.
After a couple of productive test days leading up to the race, both Leo and the team are ready for the challenge. Although team manager Morten Dons prefers to focus solely on the task at hand:
-Leo had a great weekend at Ring Djursland, and I have no doubt that he can achieve more good placements at the Night Race. However, the focus is still on Leo’s development as a racer, so while the Formula 4 trophies are appealing, they are not our top priority, he explains.
There will be plenty of development, especially since another race debutant will be competing under the STEP banner this weekend. Austrian Oscar Wurz will make his motorsport debut at Padborg Park, aiming to learn as much as possible in the last two races of the year:
-Oscar is another talented driver who has done well in karting. Now it’s time to transition to circuit racing, and I’m glad he has chosen STEP and Danish Formula 4 as the place for his debut. I hope that together we can push both Oscar and Leo forward so they are ready for a strong 2024 season, Morten Dons says.
As is tradition, the Night Race will take place on Friday and Saturday. The races will be broadcast on the YouTube channel Dansk Motorsport Live on both days.
