The 15-year-old go-kart racer from Silkeborg is already noted for impressive results on Danish and European go-kart tracks. Now, the time has come to both transition to real racing cars and learn the skills needed to become a professional racer.
To pursue his dream of becoming a professional racer, Sebastian has started a collaboration with STEP Sports Management, which will prepare him for an international career:
-To chase my dream of becoming a professional race car driver, I have reached a point where I need professional advice on choosing the right strategy, having the right contacts, and not least, the sponsorship work, says Sebastian Schou, who looks forward to working with former professional racer Morten Dons.
-Morten has been in the same place as me and has walked the path, both as a driver and as a manager, toward a common goal we share: the dream of racing at Le Mans. His experiences make it much easier for me to move forward, says Sebastian.
The work to educate Sebastian and create the financial conditions for his ambitions has long been underway, and the owner of STEP Sports Management, Morten Dons, looks positively at the future:
-Sebastian has an ambitious goal that is indeed realistic from a sporting perspective — but motorsport is an expensive sport, so we have a shared task of finding the financial backing and building a business around his goals. So far, Sebastian has shown tremendous commitment and a willingness to do what it takes, and that is really more important than anything else, says Morten Dons, who has helped several other drivers toward a professional career.
Several opportunities are in play for the 2024 season, where the go-kart will be replaced by a real racing car, and Sebastian expects to soon present his project for the upcoming season.
