From the race at Ring Djursland: The Polish driver is a permanent Member of STEP Motorsport’s efforts in the Nordic 4 Championship.
The 16-year-old Pole brings with him a long list of top results from his time in karting. Such good results that he is affiliated with the F1 team Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber’s karting squad. As part of the transition from karting to formula cars, Gustaw Wisniewski has chosen to supplement his participation in the Spanish Formula 4 Championship by racing the rest of the Nordic 4 Championship. This pleases team manager Morten Dons, who had the team’s new driver training at Padborg Park on Wednesday: -Gustaw and his family are ambitious and professional, and I am glad that they can see the potential in racing a few events in Denmark with STEP as part of his path forward in the formula classes. We have a solid program put together, which I am sure he will benefit from, says the team manager.
And it’s straight from zero to a hundred for Gustaw—and for that matter, also for Sebastian Bach—when the fourth race weekend of the year kicks off at Ring Djursland this weekend. On the hilly track near Aarhus Airport, there are no training opportunities ahead of the race weekend, so they have to rely on simulator training and onboard videos to prepare for the race. For Mathias Bjerre Jakobsen and Lærke Rønn Sørensen, the challenge is less daunting, as they have both raced on the track before—with commendable results: -Mathias won a heat and performed very well at Ring Djursland last year, and Lærke surprised everyone out there by finishing in the top five during her debut weekend, so I believe that especially the two of them will stand out positively. Sebastian has shown an impressive learning curve since he first got in the car, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he is also very competitive once he has completed a few laps on the track, says the team manager. Sunday’s two races at Ring Djursland will be broadcast on the Youtube-kanalen Dansk Motorsport Live at 09:00 and 14:45.
