Weekend event: young racing talents head to Sweden for Nordic 4 Championship at Gelleråsen Arena

With two race weekends already under their belts, Sebastian Bach and Lærke Rønn Sørensen are set to face a new and different challenge, as they have never raced at Gelleråsen before. They will have their hands full learning the track during Friday’s test sessions. Fortunately, Mathias Bjerre Jakobsen can share his insights from last year’s experience on the same circuit. The experiences of the three drivers from the first two races of the season have been quite varied. For Mathias Bjerre Jakobsen, it’s been a rollercoaster ride; although he has shown great speed, technical issues have plagued him, costing valuable points in the championship standings. Looking ahead, Mathias has the potential to bring home strong results, being one of the few drivers in the field familiar with Gelleråsen.

Sebastian Bach has quickly found his pace in just two race weekends, and with his first heat victory at FDM Jyllandsringen, his morale, motivation, and confidence are at an all-time high. The challenge now lies in mastering a new track and remaining competitive with minimal practice before qualifying starts on Saturday. The same applies to Lærke Rønn Sørensen, who is looking forward to a fresh start on new asphalt after a challenging weekend at FDM Jyllandsringen. -Gelleråsen is a fantastic racetrack with great challenges for the drivers. I’m confident that all three of them can build on the solid foundation they’ve established so far. It will be a good challenge to arrive at a track without having had several test days beforehand. This is essential for their development as they eventually move on from the Danish championship, says team manager Morten Dons about the weekend’s race.

-It’s also going to be nice to be a little further away from home than usual. This typically adds to the team’s atmosphere and strengthens the camaraderie among the entire Danish contingent. We hope to return with great experiences and lessons learned, he concludes. The Nordic 4 series will race alongside the Swedish Formula Nordic Championship this weekend.
