Nicolaj Kandborg is the new athlete in STEP

21. January 2021

The indomitable racer from East Jutland chooses STEP Sports Management in his pursuit of new motorsport goals for 2021 and beyond.

There is no single recipe for success. On the contrary, many paths can lead to fulfilling dreams and ambitions. One of the Danish racers who has dared to take a different approach in recent years is Nicolaj Kandborg. He has faced plenty of setbacks, but 2021 is already shaping up to be an exciting season.

– I’ve spent a couple of years ‘staying warm,’ nurturing my network and racing a bit under the radar. It has paid off, and now I’m ready to ramp up and work hard to get my career fully revved up, says Nicolaj Kandborg, who sees a clear advantage in having STEP Sports Management and Morten Dons behind him:

– Morten has a strong combination of business acumen and international motorsport experience, which makes him a great person to bounce ideas off. By collaborating with him, I can receive input and tips that will accelerate my progress.

Morten Dons shares his thoughts about the latest addition to the talent group:

– Nicolaj is already a well-known name in Danish motorsport. He is persistent, hard-working, and willing to listen and learn, and over the last couple of years, he has patiently worked to lay the groundwork for his future career. I’m happy that we get to help him realize it, says Morten Dons, who, like Kandborg, has enjoyed forging his own path in his career:

– Following in others’ footsteps can seem very safe and secure. Nicolaj, like I have, has experienced that by taking his own path, he can stand out and be presented with some interesting opportunities. I believe Nicolaj’s career will be really exciting to follow in the coming years, as there is momentum behind him and a huge desire to complete the project.

Nicolaj Kandborg’s plans for 2021 are expected to be announced shortly.
