Patrik Matthiesen in close collaboration with STEP Sports Management

3. January 2023

In 2023, the goal is to create real momentum in Patrik Matthiesen’s motorsport career. Therefore, the driver from Southern Jutland has chosen to collaborate with STEP Sports Management to build progress and structure.

After several seasons where unfortunate decisions have distracted from impressive performances on international racetracks, STEP will help ensure the right foundation for Patrik—among other things, by establishing contacts with top teams.

-I’ve often found myself in situations where I’ve made agreements with teams that haven’t lived up to their promises, resulting in my results not reflecting the level I know I can deliver, says Patrik Matthiesen, who looks forward to benefiting from STEP’s experiences and those of its owner, Morten Dons.

-Morten has done really well both as a driver and a manager, so I’m excited to learn from someone with a lot of valuable experience in the sport. It’s great to have someone to consult with on both sporting and career matters, says Patrik.

Morten Dons is also confident that Patrik is a good match for STEP Sports Management:

-I’ve known Patrik for several years now, and his approach to the sport and building a career is very healthy. He has had a couple of tough seasons, but his talent and work ethic are absolutely on point, so now we need to turn things around and get his career moving again, says Morten Dons, who has no doubt that the task is both realistic and achievable.

-Patrik wants to race at Le Mans, but above all, he wants to make motorsport his primary occupation. I’m absolutely convinced that his abilities are up to it, so now he just needs the best conditions to showcase his talent. And we’re already well on our way to finding a solution for that.
