As the 2024 season kicks off, the Aalborg-based racer will begin the transformation from go-karting to real race cars.
This transition comes after several impressive seasons in karting on both Danish and international tracks. In the past three seasons, he has achieved top positions in the ROTAX Mini, Junior, and Senior classes, as well as participation in the World Championship.
Sebastian Bach will be racing for STEP Motorsport, which won the Formula 4 team championship in 2023 and was behind the championship-winning driver the year before.
-I’m excited to work with STEP Motorsport. 2024 will be a year where I’ll learn many new things, and I’m sure it will be challenging and educational, says Sebastian, who also shares a glimpse of his future dreams:
-My ambition is to have my name on the list of Danish race car drivers who can call motorsport their profession. I’m still young, but I hope to participate in Le Mans one day, he adds.
Team Principal Morten Dons is pleased to welcome the young karting talent to the team for the upcoming season:
-Sebastian has quite an impressive CV, considering his age. He is fast, eager to learn, and humble—three important qualities for someone like him who dreams of building a professional career, says Morten Dons, continuing:
-At the same time, he has chosen a car type that can really teach him the craft of becoming a skilled race car driver. With a season or two in Formula 4, Sebastian will be in a strong position when he continues his career outside Denmark—and we look forward to helping him along the way!
