After a strong start to his career in formula cars, the young racer from Northern Jutland has chosen to continue his development with STEP Motorsport in 2023.
Last weekend, Victor T. Nielsen showcased impressive speed during the fourth round of the championship held at Ring Djursland. Next year, the goal is to continue this development—ideally culminating in a championship.
-I’ve learned an incredible amount from working with STEP Motorsport this year. It’s great to be in a team where I can focus 100 percent on my development as a driver, as everything around me is well-managed. The car is race-ready, the tent and hospitality are top-notch, and there’s always good advice and feedback when I need it, says Victor T. Nielsen, who looks forward to continuing the collaboration next year.
-We have good chemistry across the entire team, and Formula 4 is an exciting and challenging championship to compete in, so it feels right to take another season in Denmark, along with debuting in the ERA Formula E Junior Championship.
For the young and ambitious team, it’s a feather in their cap that Victor has chosen to spend another year in Formula 4 before venturing out into the world.
-Since the start of the season, Victor has developed immensely, both as a racer and as a person. At Ring Djursland, he began to show his teeth and had a really strong weekend, so I have high expectations for next season, says Morten Dons, team principal at STEP Motorsport, continuing:
-Next year, Victor will come in with a lot of experience and maturity, enabling him to fiercely pursue the championship. I’m glad that Victor sees us as the best choice for his upcoming season, and I look forward to building on the good collaboration we’ve already established.
The Formula 4 championship is stronger than ever this season, and next year could see the introduction of a Nordic championship featuring drivers from Sweden and Norway. This will only make it more interesting for drivers, teams, and spectators alike. Currently, Victor T. Nielsen sits in fifth place in the championship, with two races remaining on the calendar.
